Ambiotec provided engineering design services for the construction of a gravity sewer collection and transport system for 21 colonias near the City of Brownsville Airport. The project was funded through Texas Water Development Board’s Economically Distressed Areas Program (TWDB EDAP) and provided wastewater service to 863 homes and 3,315 residents. The project included approximately 92,000 LF of gravity sewer collection lines, 44,000 LF of PVC force mains, and seven (7) lift stations at a combined capacity of 6.87 MGD. The scope of work included surveying, development of engineering design plans and specifications, coordination and permitting with all local and state governmental entities including TWDB, TxDOT, El Jardin Water Supply Cooperation, Brownsville Irrigation District, Cameron County, and the City of Brownsville. Ambiotec also performed construction inspection and management services.
